NEW YORK STATE ASSEMBLY • DISTRICT 69 • INDEPENDENT
RUDDY SANTANA
FOR THE PEOPLE. BY THE PEOPLE.
Born at St. Luke's Hospital. Raised in District 69. Running for $1 a year.
WHAT RUDDY IS FIGHTING FOR
Six gates that have been closed to our community. Ruddy is opening them.
THE PARK GATE
Our parks have been taken. Our kids deserve to play here safely.
THE STOREFRONT GATE
Local businesses are being priced out. We keep our storefronts local.
THE JOBS GATE
Hire locally. Lease locally. Invest in the people who built this neighborhood.
THE NYCHA GATE
Public housing residents deserve repairs, safety, and dignity.
THE BALLOT GATE
The machine picks their candidates. The community picks ours.
THE FORGOTTEN GATE
The elderly, the homeless, the recovering — nobody left behind.
WHY INDEPENDENT?
The two candidates the Democratic Party is backing for this seat were not forged by this community. One was born in Washington DC. The other left this neighborhood at age 7 and moved to the suburbs. Neither of them stayed. Ruddy stayed.
Running as an independent means no party tells Ruddy what to do, who to protect, or who to ignore. His only obligation is to District 69.
“No party. No machine. No compromise.”
ANNUAL SALARY PLEDGE
If elected, Ruddy Santana will take $1 as his annual salary. Every dollar of the Assembly stipend will be returned to the district — to programs, to repairs, to the people who need it.
Because public service should mean exactly that.
SIGN THE PETITION
We need 4,000 signatures by May 26, 2026 to get Ruddy on the November ballot. Every signature counts.
MEET RUDDY SANTANA
As a Dominican American Muslim born at St. Luke's Hospital, Ruddy Santana is the only candidate for Assembly District 69 who was born here, raised here, and never left.
He attended P.S. 145, Booker T. Washington Middle School, and graduated from Fordham University with an MBA and MS in Taxation, as well as the Army ROTC program.
He is a former Big 4 consultant, a licensed cannabis industry professional, and a community member who has watched his neighborhood be slowly taken from the people who built it.
Guided by his faith, he believes service to community is not optional — it is an obligation.
“This is not a campaign. This is a calling.”
